Young Animal Advocates
Kids Helping OSCAR
We believe kids can make a real difference for animals in need. Every effort — big or small — helps us rescue, care for, and rehome dogs in our community.
Kids learn the value of setting goals and feeling like they are making a difference. After reaching their goal, we recognize each child or group right here on this page. Have questions? Call us at (862) 243-2962.
Ways Kids Can Help
Pick one that suits you — every effort makes a difference.

Make Dog Treats
There are easy recipes online — the dogs are always happy to gobble them down!
Make Dog Toys
Easy to make and the dogs enjoy them for months. A great hands-on project for any age.
Sponsor a Dog
For just $25/month, you can sponsor a rescue dog — covering food, supplies, and preventative care.
Birthday Drive
Ask guests to bring supply donations to your birthday party instead of presents for you.
Make Dog Tags
Make dog tags with OSCAR info on them for our foster dogs so they're always identified.
